The New York Auto Show is very far away from sunny Hawaii but that fact hasn't dimished anyone's excitement here at Jaguar / Land Rover Honolulu. We love the opportunity to see what prestigious automakers from across the globe have been up, but we are excited for the New York Auto Show for another reason altogether. Officials announced that they plan on unveiling a new Land Rover model during the show and we couldn't be more excited.

Well recently a group from British PR company, Samuelson Wylie Associates, and Land Rover employees road tripped in a new Range Rover vehicle from its facility in England to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and back.

Earlier this year, Land Rover previewed the DC100 concept, and the rumor was that when the concept went into production, it would replace the Land Rover Defender as we know it. However, the British automaker surprised us all with a heavily refreshed 2013 Defender model instead. In fact, demand for the crossover is so high that the British automaker confirmed today that they'll boost production by 33 percent to deliver more inventory to U.S. dealerships.
