Jaguar Expands on Home Turf

The 2012 Jaguar XF Sportbrake will be arrive here in Honolulu before long, and drivers aren't the only people who will reap the benefits of this impressive car. Turns out, to account for production of this new model, Jaguar has had to hire 1,100 new workers at the Castle Bromwich plant in the United Kingdom. That is on top of the 8,000 jobs Jaguar has added in the country in the last two years.

Dr. Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO explains, "The launch of our latest Jaguar models, including the new XF Sportbrake later this year, means it is a very exciting time for Jaguar. These new models will attract new customers to the brand as we look to expand our global reach and further enhance our position in the market."1

The government is equally excited about these new jobs and expanding reach of the British company. UK Business Secretary Vince Cable says, "This expansion is a clear demonstration of Jaguar Land Rover's continuing commitment and investment in the UK."2

The strengthening of the brand in Europe echoes across the ocean, and we know that their reach has extended here in the United States. We especially know how much drivers here in Hawaii love the new Jaguar lineup. And it's only going to get better, wouldn't you agree?

Want to see the XF Sportbrake (combination sports car, sedan, and wagon) in person? Stay tuned with Jaguar/Land Rover Honolulu, as we'll be letting you know as soon as it's available. We're happy to give you a tour of the entire new Jaguar lineup in person, answer your questions about specs, availability, and luxury options to suit your lifestyle.
